Useful Information

Year 3 PE Days PE is on Thursdays and Fridays for Maple and Wednesday and Thursdays for Birch

Please come to school in your PE kit on PE days.

Long hair needs to be tied back and earrings need to be removed (or taped).

Year 3 Homework Reading

We encourage children to read daily at home, and for this to be recorded in their reading diary.  This just needs to be a comment recording the name of the book, pages read and a signature.  Please don’t feel you have to write a long comment.

Children will be awarded dojos for daily reading. Children who have read to an adult at home 5 times a week will receive a raffle ticket. At the end of each term, raffle tickets will be drawn and the winners will receive a prize – the more you read, the more chances you have to win!

Spellings

Weekly spellings will be stuck into your child’s reading diary each week.

The spellings are also on Spelling Shed each week to practise.

Maths

Children should practise their times tables (2, 5, 10, 3, 4, 6 and 8) which can be done on Times Tables Rock Stars.
